But this average bloke can't help but get caught up in the Melrose madness. Afterall, he shares a secret past with crazed bad girl, the late Kimberly Shaw (Marcia Cross) and strikes up an unusual friendship with Michael. But any die-hard fan of the show will remember Ashby who played Jo's abusive ex-husband during Melrose's first season. This won't confuse viewers though, because as Ashby claims, the violent ex-husband and the good doctor couldn't be more different.
Also hot on his heels with be Jaime Luner (Peyton from Savannah), another new addition to the show, who plays his scheming ex-wife, Lexi Sterling.
Ashby is confident that the "good energy" coming form this new season should raise the sizzle stakes even higher. In any case, his entree into the show alone, is guaranteed to keep female fans hooked.
